Member of Parliament Dan Mazier, the Conservative Shadow Minister for Rural Economic Development & Connectivity, is travelling to Prince Edward Island to meet with a variety of stakeholders to discuss rural economic development and internet/cellular services.
MP Mazier currently represents the federal constituency of Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa (Manitoba) in Canada's Parliament, and previously served as President of Keystone Agricultural Producers; Manitoba’s largest general farm organization. Additionally, MP Mazier has been a steadfast advocate for improving internet and cellular services across rural Canada since elected to the House of Commons is 2019. His bill (Bill C-288) to amend the Telecommunications Act is currently being debated in the House of Commons.
It is his intention to gain a better understanding of the economic drivers in Atlantic Canada during his trip to PEI and identify the federal concerns and priorities of the region.
